Accrington's Steve Johnson was one of many who picked up major awards at the SD34 Group presentation evening.

A successful 2006 Championship season saw Johnson take first overall driver in the Tyres South Shore Stage Rally Championship, while daughter Heather took runner-up position as a Class A' Co-Driver.

Fellow CSMA-MW member David Barratt took victory as the Class A' Co-Driver and he added to his silverware tally when named winner of the Marshals Championship.

Pendle and District Motor Club''s Michael Judson and Derek Lewin were winners of the respective Driver and Co-Driver awards in Class C'.

Clitheroe and District Motor Club's Terry Martin was the first O/A Driver in the Road Rally Championship with club member Jerry Hettrick picking up the First O/A Navigator award.

Bolton-Le-Moors CC achieved tremendous success in the Off-Road Championship. David Goodlad won the overall title while David Higginson took Class A', Steve Price Class C', Peter Sharples Class D' and Burnley's Bob Sargeant bagged the Class 'E' title.

The highly prized Brian Molyneux Award, which is presented to the individual who has made a significant contribution to motorsport, was awarded to his son, Neil, who said he was "absolutely delighted" to receive it. Molyneux has co-ordinated the group's involvement with the Tour of Mull event for many years and his brother Clive is Clerk of the Course.
