BENNI McCarthy's wonder-strike three minutes from time sent Blackburn into the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.
The South African star collected David Dunn's pass midway inside the Gunners half, beat Philippe Senderos before lashing his shot past Manuel Almunia.
It was one of the few clear-cut chances Rovers were able to carve out on a tense night at Ewood Park but it proved to be the decisive one and sets up a last eight showdown with Manchester City.
Earlier, Arsenal's Julio Baptiste had tested Brad Friedel, forcing the American into several saves.
But, in the end, McCarthy's fabulous goal was enough to send Rovers through.
