MARK Hughes can look no further for inspiration for tonight's FA Cup clash than Blackburn Rovers' women's team.

The ladies side have made history by being named the FA Women's Cup team of the round for the second successive time - the first ever team to win it back-to-back.

The 2-1 defeat of last year's runners up, Leeds United, saw Rovers book their place in the last four of the Cup.

Two goals from Katie Anderton in the 56th and 60th minute has set up a mouth-watering clash with 2005 Cup winners Charlton in the semi-finals at Accrington Stanley on Sunday, March 18.

Manager, Adam Lakeland said: "Obviously, we are delighted to have progressed into the last four of the competition and to become the first team to ever win Team of the Round in back- to-back stages is a great coup for us.

"Ideally, we would have liked to avoid both Charlton and Arsenal in the semi-final as they are both the elite of our league, but I never imagined them to play against each other in the semi's.

"However, my team was expected to get beaten by both Chelsea and Leeds yet we still find ourselves in the competition and we will be approaching the Charlton game with plenty of ambition and confidence that we can progress even further.

"My first game as caretaker manager was away to Charlton in which we managed a 0-0 draw, and the results and our team's progression since then shows that we are a better team now. We know that people think an Arsenal v Charlton Final is a foregone conclusion, but us being underdogs is something we thrive on as it puts immense pressure on Charlton and hopefully that will work in our favour on the day."
