IT'S back to normal this week - but then what is normal?
To the children in the villages in Ghana it's not having much, to the soldiers in Iraq it's constantly having to watch and wait, to a WAG it's what goodie can I buy next, but to me it's having a cup of tea, and writing to you.
The trip to Ghana has made me think. Those folk up in the villages are poor, but in a strange way there is no poverty, for they're all in the same boat.
It's like the villages of my childhood, we were all poor but we never felt deprived, for we were loved and any problems, well there was always a neighbour to help.
So, in some way you have to envy them their simplicity and I wonder should we be trying to make them go down the roads that we in the west have gone down?
Yes, we have lots more things, but are we happier?
They are least are secure, surrounded by loving families and neighbours.
