Global warming... Climate change... Greenhouse effect... Carbon footprints...

Mintel recently surveyed a significant sample on these issues.

64% said they took these issues into consideration where possible.

36% say they don't know what they should and shouldn't do.

35% were shoulder shrugging "What's the point-ers"!

28% were "fed up" hearing about it!

If only two thirds of us are trying on this issue and one-third 3 of us don't really care - why is that?

The range of their projections for the 21st century is from 1 to nearly 6oC increase! With rises in sea levels of up to 10 inches.

I'll not go on. It's not about Rio or Kyoto, the rainforests or new deserts.

It's not the great cities and ports of the world where many millions live that are under real threat.

It's not really about beating ourselves up about all this.

You and me can't take on the world. But we can all help save it.

We can all take little steps that will help and if we all took little steps then the big steps, the giant strides, will follow.

They offer ways, here and now, that you, your household and workplace can all help.

Why are there so many who don't know or care? Don't we care about our great grandchildren? Or are we dinosaurs?
