I wonder if any of your readers would be interested in a “thought” of a magnificent edifice that could be constructed on Pendle Hill.

It would signify the true centre of the British Isles, an honour for the Palatine of Lancashire.

It would consist of a 230ft-high glass star supported by three higher towers and three smaller ones, so the star could be suspended above the ground.

It would denote the Universal Church as well as the scientific world and of course commercial enterprise.

Perhaps it could involve the engineering department of the University of Lancaster, as part of their engineering course, with possible future credit.

I am sure it would promote a great benefit to Lancashire as a whole.

It should also help the job market!
