LANCASTER people are being asked to help the city decide how to spend a Lottery cash windfall.
Williamson Park has won £46,000 to work up detailed plans on how to make the park more sustainable'.
It wants local people to help it come up with the answers - by joining in an on-line consultation.
Cllr Eileen Blamire, chairman of the Williamson Park manage-ment board, says: "The park is an asset to our community and one which we must do all we can to preserve and enhance.
"We have already received a number of suggestions, from hosting larger events to creating wedding reception facilities and developing the educational side or improving horticultural aspects of the park.
"We really want to know what people like and dislike about the park and how it could be developed in the future."
Volunteers and staff members will be asking park visitors to complete questionnaires all this month, while surveys are also planned in Lancaster city centre and at other leisure venues.
To join the survey on-line, log on to www.lancaster.gov.uk/ consultationmaster or use the telephone answer line on 01524-582855. The closing date for the consultation is May 31.
