Desperately seeking Amber...

A CHAMPION show dog has been lost at Hest bank - and her frantic owner is desperate to find her.

Three-year-old chocolate Labrador bitch Amber (pictured) escaped from a car in Morecambe and was last seen running scared along the beach at Hest Bank.

Owner Jackie Callow, from Birmingham, is desperate for news - and can be called on 0121-522-3696 (home), 08450-727270 (weekday morning) or via e-mail on jacallow2002@hotmail.com. Amber was bred by a well know show kennel in the Midlands and was booked into championship dog shows this month.

She was being taken to be introduced' to a stud dog in Scotland when she bolted during a lunch stop in Morecambe.

Jackie decided to stop for a bite to eat at lunch-time and went to Morecambe. While Anne was in a cafe, Amber bolted. The frightened dog was chased all along the beach and the police, RNLI hovercraft and dog wardens were called out to help as she was heading for dangerous channels.

But she was so spooked that she carried on running away and was last seen by the coastguard heading north.

Jackie says: "As you can imagine I live near Birmingham and Amber is lost in Lancashire so finding her is very difficult. Please help me to find her."
