TWO local men are building up their fitness for a marathon cycle ride with a difference.

Nick Marshall and Richard Bowker, pictured, aim to complete a gruelling Three Towers' cycle ride from Paris to Morecambe in less than 60 hours.

Solicitor Nick, from Hest Bank, and Bolton-le-Sands man Richard have set a target of raising £15,000 for the charity NCH through the event.

They will set off from the Eiffel Tower in Paris on Friday, May 16, and cycle home to Morecambe's clock tower by way of Blackpool Tower - hoping to arrive at some time on Sunday, May 18.

To sponsor the epic 500-miles plus cycle ride, pledges can be made on-line at www.justgiving.com/richardbowker.
