ROAD, bus and rail users in the Lancaster area could be asked to take part in surveys to help shape improvements in the district.
Data collected from locals questioned later this month and in early June will go towards setting up a new multi-modal Lancaster area transport model'.
This computerised representation of the highway network will help Lancashire County Council to influence further design work on the Heysham to M6 link scheme and support the funding bid and other procedures.
It will also enable forecasts to be made for future traffic flows and public transport needs and support the on-going Lancaster and Morecambe vision' study to examine future transport policies and initiatives.
Consultants working for Lancashire County Council will conduct the surveys from May 13 to 22 and from June 3.
