‘Digital is better’ for Lancashire fundraisers

SCHOOLS across Lancashire will find it easier to participate in an annual fundraiser for a national deaf charity after it announced the event is getting a digital makeover.
Teachers and pupils involved in SignHealth’s sign2sing Guinness World Record breaking attempt next February will have access to a free whiteboard application making it easier for teachers to teach the signs and song in an engaging way.
Steve Powell, chief executive at SignHealth, the healthcare charity for deaf people, said: “The digital resource pack will be available to all schools that register for sign2sing, which is the attempt for the most people signing and singing at the same time, and will include a free whiteboard app.
“Sign2sing is all about communication.
“We believe the move to go digital will make event participation even more accessible and are hoping it will mean lots more East Lancashire schools will take part in the event next February.”
Sign2sing is SignHealth’s world record breaking attempt for the most people signing and singing a song at the same time while also raising money for the charity. The project is in its third year and the current record is 114,277.
