Blackburn choirboy William has golden touch

HEAD chorister of Blackburn Cathedral Choir William Fielding has won the a gold award for his musical and liturgical knowledge.
William, 13, a pupil at Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School, Blackburn, passed the examination, set by the Royal School of Church Music (RSCM) with honours, denoting an overall mark of more than 90 per cent.
He will receive his medal and certificate at the next RSCM area festival in February next year.
