LONG-awaited road resurfacing work on Darwen’s A666 has been dug up within a week of being finished.
Workmen have begun installing two build-outs in the road adjacent to Maria Street and Blackpool Street, which will help passengers board buses.
A spokeswoman for Capita Symonds said the decision was made because the build-outs would have hampered the laying of the surface, and council bosses wanted to resurface the road during the school holidays to minimise disruption.
