COUNCILLORS will continue to monitor Earby Sports and Social Club to ensure it doesn’t fall into a dilapidated state.
The New Road club falls within a conservation area and notices have previously been issued to ensure it is tidy.
Kathryn Hughes, of Pendle Council, said: “A site visit took place on August 16. The site is relatively tidy at present with the ground-floor windows boarded with timber.
“Although this site is within the conservation area, it is in an acceptable short-term condition while a longer-term solution is found.
"It is recommended that a land registry search be undertaken to establish the current owner of this site and that it be added to the problem buildings list for monitoring until it is either re-opened orany future development takes place.”
