Conspiracy theory time: Scottish band Franz Ferdinand were named after a certain Archduke, who was assassinated by the Black Hand society in 1914.
This new single from LA rockers The Blood Arm (a coincidental name?) is called Suspicious Character and the riff is indeed of suspicious character, being almost identical to Franz Ferdinand's Take Me Out.
An international plot that has taken 92 years to come to fruition, culminating in this weeks chart, or just a band trying to emulate the enviable success of Franz Ferdinand?
Considering the stupidly catchy lyrics - "I like all the girls and all the girls like me!" - it's probably a jaunty move for chart domination rather than the resurgence of a dead Pan-Slavic nationalist organisation.
The B-side, Bottom Below, is actually a better and more original song, with more life, oomph and drive, but Suspicious Character will be the song played ad-nauseum at indie discos everywhere.
