Bad boy punk-rockers understandably want to hide their melodic leanings from their legions of heavily pierced fans. The Bronx fail - and so succeed!

A quick glance through the song titles suggests a desire to shock - Three Dead Sisters being one of the family-friendly entries - and lyrics that concentrate on old favourites like suicide, drug abuse, prostitution and murder.

But aside from a couple of moments of sheer angry noise, as with second track Small Stone, the melodies always shine through the fury.

Not quite as nasty as it wants to be, but a lot better for it.
