A THREE-car crash is causing heavy traffic on the westbound carriageway of the M65 this morning.
Police were called to the incident between junction 5 at Shadsworth and junction 6 at Whitebirk at 7.40am.
Officers are still trying to establish the cause of the accident, but say one car was forced off the carriageway and into a field.
No serious injuries have been reported.
The carriageway remains open, but traffic has backed up to junction seven at Accrington.
