A FOUR-year jail term given to a crack cocaine dealer who burgled her next door neighbour was not a day too long -- Appeal Court judges have ruled.

Susan Mack, 27, of Accrington Road, Blackburn, was jailed at Preston Crown Court in January after pleading guilty to burglary and supplying and offering to supply a Class A drug.

Mr Justice Leveson, sitting with Mr Justice Tugendhat at London's Court of Appeal, dismissed claims the sentence was "manifestly excessive."

The judge said an undercover police operation in the Accrington Road area of Blackburn in July last year had snared Mack, who offered to supply officers with crack cocaine.

Mack managed to provide the police with a small amount of the drug after a series of phone calls to a dealer higher up the supply chain.

The burglary offence happened a short while later after Mack had been released on bail pending her trial on the drugs charges.

Describing the offence as "mean", Mr Justice Leveson said Mack was caught in the act by her landlord, who spotted her passing a television over her neighbour's wall.

Mr Justice Leveson dismissed Mack's application and said the four-year jail term was "in no way manifestly excessive".
