HAVING read the article in the Evening Telegraph, regarding children playing football in the streets I am quite amazed at the comments made by past footballers and councillors who seem to have no regard to other people's concerns or feelings.
The fact that some child could be knocked down by the ever increasing number of speeding drivers these days has just not entered these people's heads.
The footballers of yesteryear who played in the streets would not have had so many cars to contend with.
Also the comment about children only having fun, and we may be stopping new budding footballers seems ridiculous, its like saying they can go for a joy ride in our cars as they might be budding racing drivers.
