A PASSIONATE plea in the House of Commons by Burnley MP Peter Pike helped persuade his fellow MPs to restrict DIY stores to six hours' opening on Sundays.
Mr Pike claimed letting the stores open longer than supermarkets would have been one step towards a 'free for all'.
