VOLUNTARY and community groups in Colne are being invited to a series of free workshops organised by the Colne Open Door Project.
The aim of the workshops is to give new and developing community organisations the opportunity to get free support and advice on how to make their group a success.
Subjects covered by the workshops include business planning, budgeting, minute taking, fund-raising, and marketing.
The next session in the series is on minute taking and is being held on Wednesday, September 1, from 10am to 12.30pm.
All workshops are free of charge to non-profit making voluntary and community groups working in, or with volunteers or staff from, the Waterside and Vivary Bridge wards in Colne.
The workshops will be held at the Waterbridge Resource Centre in Rigby Street, Colne and the Open Door Centre in Great George Street, Colne. Lunch will be provided.
Workshop details and bookings can be made by contacting Ann McIvor or Lisa Parkin on 01282 6868401/01282 860342 or emailing info@open doors.fslife.co.uk
