WITH reference to LET article 'Hells Highway' dated September 13, it seems strange that the section of road between the Windmill and the motorway junction doesn't have any speed cameras.
Based upon the coroner's report if anywhere needs one then this section does.
In addition how long do we have to wait to read in a LET of a death at the junction of the New Stanley House Hotel which exits on to Preston Old Road on a bend.
Do planners not learn from the large number of deaths outside the BAE Systems site on the A59?
People will be leaving the hotel after a function, unfamiliar with the road and have to exit on to a major road.
