YOU ask whether Labour has failed us on crime (LET, September 8). Well, what haven't they failed us on?
Labour took us to war and made the world a more dangerous place, whilst our very own regiments are being slashed. Our post offices are closing. Our schools are in special measures, while security guards patrol them. Our pensions are in crisis.
Anti-social behaviour and violent crime have rocketed. We pay more in taxes (despite Labour saying we would not).
Oh, and I haven't mentioned the Dome fiasco, the Lord Chancellor's wallpaper, Mandelson, Hinduja Brothers, Cheriegate.
What are Labour's and our MP's priorities now? To knock down 149 homes in the Redearth Street area of Darwen and a ban on hunting with dogs.
M PICKUP, Oldfield Avenue, Darwen.
