WITH all the recent hullabaloo about car parking, speed cameras, road rage and traffic wardens etc., I feel I must write with another grievance -- impatient lady drivers.
Imagine my disbelief as I stopped at the box junction on Preston New Road, Blackburn adjacent to the Woodlands Hotel because of traffic build up at the lights when the lady driver directly behind me pulled out, overtook me and parked up behind the vehicle in front inside the box junction.
She did all this while talking on a mobile phone! Then while I was still shaking my head in disbelief, another driver who had witnessed the this decided to do the same and pulled up behind the first lady.
This driver, I may add, was also a lady, who then proceeded to apply her lipstick! Unbelievable!
The reason therefore for this letter is to ask our lady drivers to please exercise some patience on the road.
Girls, you really aren't doing yourselves any favours applying your make-up while on the move, then floating into your workplace.
PS The above does not apply to the wife, or the girls at my work!
