DARWEN people are being invited to tell their personal tales from the Home Front during the Second World War.

Anyone interested in recording their stories can visit Darwen Library on March 19, from 10am to 4pm.

The event is part of the commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the end of the war.

There will also be a display of books related to the 'Their Past Your Future' exhibition currently running at Blackburn museum, as well as wartime newspapers on microfilm, photographs taken during the war and artefacts.

A member of the library's learning team will run a half-hour introductory session for anyone interested in recording their stories or who just want to read other people's memories.

Sessions will run at 10.30, 11.30, 1.30 and 2.30.

Staff will also demonstrate the Cotton Town website, which includes information and the history of the local area.
