Sink migrant boats, urges North West MEP

BRITISH National Party leader Nick Griffin, an MEP for the North West, has said boats carrying migrants from Africa to Europe should be sunk to stop Europe being “swamped by the Third World”.

Mr Griffin said occupants of sunk boats could be given life rafts to get back to Africa.

Nearly 37,000 immigrants, many from Egypt and Sub-Saharan Africa, arrived in Italy by sea last year from Libya which has become a major staging post.

Mr Griffin said he would back the creation of a ocean-going force to block the Mediterranean route, but called for tougher measures to be introduced.

”The only measure, sooner or later, which is going to stop immigration and stop large numbers of sub-Saharan Africans dying on the way to get over here is to get very tough with those coming over,” he told BBC Parliament’s The Record Europe.

”Frankly, they need to sink several of those boats.

"Anyone coming up with measures like that we’ll support but anything which is there as a, ‘Oh, we need to do something about it’ but in the end doing something about it means bringing them into Europe, we will oppose.”

He denied advocating that anyone should be “murdered at sea”, telling the BBC: “They can throw them a life raft and they can go back to Libya.

"But Europe has sooner or later to close its borders or its simply going to be swamped by the Third World.”

Mr Griffin also conceded that the BNP had been unable to find enough extremist allies to create a “group” in the European Parliament, where he will take his seat next week.

The decision of Italy’s Lega Nord to join the Europe of Freedom and Democracy group led by Britain’s UK Independence Party effectively ended efforts to find the necessary 25 MEPs from seven different member states.

”No one was prepared to commit themselves knowing that we had not got Lega Nord on board.

"Even so, we will continue to work together with these other groups and share ideas,” he said.

In the last war we bombed civilians because it was considered necessary. We are now threatened with being completely swamped, and having our countries completely taken away from us by people who are alien in every sense - racially, culturally, and usually in terms of their religion. In the full text of his comments (reported elsewhere, but deliberately ignored by most of our media) Mr Griffin also points out that every year hundreds of African would-be immigrants are killed trying to reach Europe, drawn here by the knowledge that if they can once get in, they will never be sent back : and if they can cross Europe and get to Britain, they are entitled to a whole range of services from health & housing to education (often jumping queues of long-suffering Brits) and eventual citizenship.
Knowing that they faced being forcible repulsed, and automatic expulsion if they avoided the navy anyway, would soon cut the number of invaders to a negligible figure.
Those with no concern about their own people, and an obsession with the welfare of the rest of the world, might want to remember that.

If you read what he said, he said thousands of people drown year on year trying to make the dangerous journey across to europe, because they think europes the promised land and the way to stop it was to make people realise there not welcome here and to sink a couple of boats to put a stop to them trying to reach europe, by the way he wasnt the first to say it, the leader of the northern league in Italy said it first a number of years ago, so really its just old news.

Australia polices their shores in the same fashion all the time and nobody ever critisises them. Labour have been far too soft and have virtually "marketed" Britain to immigrants and to be fair i don't blame them for coming.
Unfortunately even if we started such a policy it is just closing the stable door after the horse has bolted. The damage is already done.

Nick Griffin " praise be upon him " actually said "sink the boats " not drown the people and by this he maent sink them to stop them being used again , he also quoted to " give them life raft to tow them back to wherever they came from. There is nothing wrong with this as believe it or not we are full to the brim with most services bursting at the seams and it was only on the news last year that these boatloads of people are going to Tenerife etc but from there guess where they want to come , ? yep ! Britain for the free everything. The Spanish have no intention of stopping them just like the French , once in our country they are our problems " along with the diseases and heathen cultures they bring " its time we actually got rid of all the scroungers in this country already and stopped all asylum / immigration and without appeals etc , the majority of the ordinary people of Britain are sick of them and of paying for them , we dont want them here and this is just another reason labour are going to be out next time and the BNP will get more votes , they are the only party that dare do it. Good on them and Nick is certainly right in this case , sink the boats and they have nothing to sail in , Brill !
