CHRIS Davies, Liberal Democrat MEP for the North West of England, spoke to more than 300 Pendle residents about the conflict in Gaza.
During his visit to Nelson, Mr Davies said it was "time to stop treating Israel with kid gloves" over Palestine.
He called for the European Union's economic agreement with Israel to be suspended.
He said Israel should be put under pressure to change its policies.
