POLICE in Morecambe are appealing for witnesses after two separate incidents in the resort last Thursday evening.
In one, a masked man threatened a sales assistant at the Booze Busters store on Alexandra Road at 9.15pm before stealing cash from the till.
The man, described as being five feet 10 inches tall, had a Liverpudlian accent and was wearing a blue hooded top and dark pants. He may have been riding a BMX type bike.
In the seond incident, a takeaway delivery driver was robbed at Eskdale Place.
Police say two men threatened the driver, a Chinese man, as he approached the communal hall of the premises at 11.40pm and stole his food and a small amount of cash.
The offenders were both white with longish hair and wearing dark clothing.
A police spokesman says: “These type of incidents are rare but both left the victims shocked.
“We urge anyone who saw any men police on 01524-63333 or contact Crimestoppers on 0800-555-111.”
