A lane on the M61 northbound is closed after a crash this evening (April 18).
One lane is closed and traffic is building from junction nine of the M65 to junction 30 of the M6.
There are ‘severe delays’ of 17 minutes, and increasing.
Police have been approached for more details.
A spokesperson for AA Traffic and Travel said: “One lane closed and queueing traffic due to crash on M61 northbound from junction nine of M65 to junction 30 of M6. Congestion to M61 J8 (Chorley).
“There are severe delays of 17 minutes and delays increasing on M61 northbound between J8 A674 Millennium Way (Chorley) and M6 J30. Average speed ten mph.”
