A motorbike, car registration plate, tools and other items have been taken after a spate of burglaries in Chorley and Bamber Bridge.

Police have released details of 10 separate burglaries and attempted burglaries, which have taken place between 24, December, 2023 and January 2, 2024.

It is not yet known if these incidents are connected.

Anyone with information or video footage, that can assist with the investigation, have been asked to get in touch.

A police spokesperson said: “We have received reports over the last few days of a number of vehicle related thefts/attempted thefts/ burglaries in the Chorley and Bamber Bridge area.

“We are appealing for CCTV or Ring doorbell footage.

“Locations, time parameters and incident type has been provided.

“It is not clear if these incidents are connected or not but any footage you have may be the piece of the puzzle we need to secure a conviction. Officers will be providing reassurance and going through CCTV enquiries over the coming days. Patrols will be paying close attention to these areas given the high volume of offences.”

 The locations of interest police are looking at are:

•Anderton Street, Chorley: January 2, 2024 at 8.30am - 11:00 AM a motorbike was stolen

•Greenwood, Bamber Bridge: Overnight on January 1, 2024. No time parameters. Registration plates stolen from a car.

•St Albans Place: January 2, 2024, between 7.30pm and 5.20am. Involved. theft of items from a van.

•Chester Place, Adlington: December 30 and 31, between 11.30pm and 10am. Theft of tools from vehicle.

•Beaconsfield Terrace, Chorley: January 1/January 2, between 5pm and 7.30am. Offenders have snapped off a car wing mirror.

•Windermere Road, Chorley: December 24, between 4pm and 8pm. Attempted theft of a cars catalytic converter.

•Tootell Street, Chorley: Burglary where entry was gained and items taken. This occurred overnight on January 2,  potentially around 4am.

•Chestnuts, Coppull: December 30, between 4.30pm and 9.30pm. Tools stolen from van.

•Longfield, Coppull: December 30/31 – between 7am and 3.40am. Theft of items from van.

•Burgh Wood Way: January 2, between 3am and 3.20am. Attempt burglary to gain entry to property
