Motorists have been warned to drive with caution in Brierfield, after reports of animals on the road.
Three horses were spotted on Massey Street this morning (August 17), around the junction of Burnley Road.
Police have warned motorists of the potential hazard.
AA Traffic and Travel said this is not currently affecting traffic.
A police spokesperson said: “Officers are attending reports of three horses on the highway at Massey [Street], Brierfield around the junction of Burnley Road.
“Please be wary of this potential hazard if you are going to be driving in this area.
A spokesperson for AA Traffic and Travel said: “Reports of horses on road on Massey Street both ways near A682 Burnley Road.
“Traffic is coping well.”
