FOOTBALL star Phil Neville is planning to build a multi-million pound mansion - despite still not selling his £4million home in Rossendale.

The Everton captain and England international has applied to Bolton Council for permission for a six-bedroom spread which will include a swimming pool, cinema, games room and gym.

The house, which could be built in High Bank Lane, Lostock, is just 10 minutes away from his brother Gary Neville's home.

He moved into a £6million property in Harwood last summer.

Plans for Phil's home include a garage which will have space for his three cars - a Rolls Royce Phantom, a Bentley Continental Flying Spur and a Range Rover.

His children, aged seven, and four, will have their own en-suite bedrooms complete with walk-in wardrobes.

There will be two sitting rooms, two kitchens, a bar room, a dining room and a breakfast room.

The 19,000sq ft site is completely screened by trees and the building will cover 8,000sq ft.

The former Manchester United star's current home, Sunnyside House, in Crawshawbooth, near Rawtenstall, is on the market with a price tag of £4million.

The gates to the house and the carpets feature the initials P and J for Phil and his wife, Julie.

Julie, from Rawtenstall, is the daughter of Rossendale steel firm boss Bob Killelea.

The application will be discussed at a meeting of Horwich Town Council on Thursday.

The application will be decided by Bolton Council's planning and highways committee at a later date.
