Residents in and around Darwen have many options to choose from so we had a look on TripAdvisor for the eateries which are said to have some of the best meals on offer.

The Ranken Arms

The Ranken Arms at Queen Street, Darwen, is rated the number one eatery in the area and serves up light bites including warm and cold sandwiches, pizzas, starters, and mains including crispy chicken and pies.

Open Monday to Wednesday between 12pm and 10.30pm, Thursday between 12pm and 11.30pm, Friday 12pm to 12am, Saturday 12pm to 12am and Sunday 12pm to 12am, Ranken Arms is rated four and a half out of five on TripAdvisor and received the Travellers' Choice Award in 2022.

Deli Carlo - Salumeria Italiano

Deli Carlo at Unit 1 Croft Street, Darwen, is also a great spot for brunch.

The Darwen eatery offers delicious panini specials, wraps and plate salads and they also offer breakfast choices too.

It has a five out of five rating on TripAdvisor and the opening hours are between 9am and 5pm Monday to Saturday.

Oakenhurst Farm

Oakenhurst Farm at Riversway Drive, Lower Darwen, offers customers a range of food options including traditional meals such as burgers, currys, fish and chips as well as serving unlimited cooked breakfasts, and sandwiches.

The eatery which is rated four out of five and was awarded the Travellers' Choice award in 2022, is open Monday to Friday between 6am and 11pm, Saturday 7am to 11pm and Sunday 7am to 10.30pm.

Sweet Vintage

Sweet Vintage at Unit 3&4 Croft Street, Darwen, looks like the perfect spot for a delicious brunch.

Rated as the number one coffee and tea place in Darwen, the eatery offers cold and hot foods including afternoon tea and toasties, they also sell light bites including sandwiches and soup.

Open 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday, Sweet Vintage is also rated five out of five on TripAdvisor.

The Tramway Cafe

The eatery at Cemetery Road, Darwen, is rated a five out of five on TripAdvisor and offers customers a wide selection of meals.

These include burgers, jacket potatoes, sandwiches and a large breakfast menu.

The Tramway Café is open 8am to 2pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 1pm on a Saturday.
