BUDDING actors at Stonyhurst College had some expert tuition from a West End star.
Pupils taking part in the college's production of Les Miserables were given some tips by an original member of the London cast.
Peter Polycarpou, who has performed major roles in West End musicals, as well as TV programmes and films, led a one-day workshop for 70 pupils.
Pete, who is perhaps best remembered for his role as Pauline Quirke's jailbird husband Chris Theodopoulopoudos in BBC sit-com Birds of a Feather - demonstrated techniques that would enhance the pupils' own performance and explained how professional actors prepared for roles.
Peter said: "I have really enjoyed working with the pupils. They are a really keen and talented group."
The fully-booked show premiered last night, and will be staged tonight and Saturday.
