A ROSSENDALE law firm is hoping to end confusion caused by the controversial Home Information Packs.
Launched in the summer to try to reduce the number of abortive sales, while promoting energy efficiency in homes, HIPS have instead left sellers confused and worried.
The documents include an Energy Performance Certificate, local authority searches, title documents and guarantees.
Woodcocks has started an independent service, which aims to put potential sellers back in control, allowing them to change estate agents as often as they like.
Solicitor Jo-ann Miles said: "Potential sellers need to be aware of the new law, but they also need to be on their guard to make sure they do not pay over the odds for a pack which is inadequate."
