A SHOW that celebrates the achievements of people who rescued steam railways will be held in a town centre venue.
Darwen Library Theatre will host a screening of the Flying Scotsman and the Golden Steam of Steam.
The event will be a celebration of the men and women who saved some of the country’s most picturesque branch lines and the steam engines that run on them.
In this illustrated talk the award winning television programme maker, David Parker, will show clips from programmes he has made about steam railways in Britain.
He spent 12 months filming the rebuilding of perhaps the most famous of them all, Flying Scotsman.
The two hour and 15 minute show will be held at the Knott Street theatre today (September 20) from 7.30pm.
Tickets are priced from £10.50.
