A MAN was hit on the head after men wearing white masks forced their way into his home.

Police released an appeal yesterday after the man was attacked in Essex Close, Blackburn, on Saturday, July, 28.

Police said the victim answered his door at 10.30pm and three men forced their way inside, knocked him over, hit him and made demands for money.

While the man was on the floor, they searched his house before leaving with cash, car keys and a bank card.

Police said the victim did not see his attackers clearly but two of them were wearing white plastic masks.

The man's ard was used shortly after the attack in Tesco Express in Bank Top, by a man believed to be driving a red Vauxhall Astra.

PC Phill Scott said: "This must have been a terrifying ordeal for the victim and we're continuing to investigate and find the people responsible.

"Our enquiries have led us to release an image of a man we'd like to speak to as part of our enquiries.

"We appreciate the image is not very clear, but he is wearing quite distinctive clothing.

"If you know who he might be, or have any information at all, please get in touch."
