POLICE are looking for a 30-year-old man who went missing from Darwen following an alleged assault in the town.

Lee Wilcox was last seen around 10.15am on Saturday in the Blackburn Road area.

His disappearance followed a report of an assault, alleged to have been committed the same day.

Mr Wilcox is described as white, six feet four inches tall, of medium build with dark-brown hair.

He was wearing a green North Face t-shirt and green North Face shorts, possibly pants.

Police are concerned for his welfare and urging people not to approach him.

Police Constable Rebecca Charnley said: “Lee has been missing for several days now and we are appealing to anyone who has seen him or knows where he is to come forward.

“Lee is also wanted on suspicion of assault and we would ask people not to approach him, but instead contact police.

“Furthermore, I would urge Lee, if he sees this appeal, to come forward and contact us.”
