A WATER main has burst at a junction on the outskirts of a town.
Road closures have been put in place in parts of Darwen after a major mains burst on Greenway Street at the junction of Snape Street.
The burst main caused extensive damage to the carriageway and footway on the two streets and footways were also closed.
It is also affecting water supplies in the area as it is a trunk main that has burst, Blackburn with Darwen Roads have said.
United Utilities is now on site and dealing with the issue. It is not known how long the repairs will take.
