A MAN has been released under investigation after a rail officer was threatened with a broken bottle and a brick.

British Transport Police said on Monday a man was arrested at Blackburn Railway Station following the threats to a travel safe officer.

Police said he has since been released under investigation as they continue to look into the incident.

A British Transport Police spokesman said: "On Monday a male was arrested at Blackburn Station after he used a broken bottle and brick to threaten a travel safe officer.

"He has been released under investigation as enquiries continue."
