A MOTORCYCLIST is in hospital following a collision.
Police were called to the incident at the Shadsworth Road junction with Fecitt Brow, Blackburn, shortly after 1pm following a collision between a green Ducati motorbike and a grey Volkswagen Touran.
A Police spokesman said the male motorcyclist had been injured in the collision and was given first aid at the scene by officers.
He was then taken to Blackburn Royal with suspected pelvic injuries.
The spokesman said the junction was closed following the incident and re-opened at just after 2.30pm.
She said: “When officers attended the scene the male was concious and breathing.
“He was given first aid at the scene by ARV officers who are trained in advanced first aid.
“Officers recovered the vehicle at the scene after which they re-opened the road.”
