BLACKBURN Rovers' FA Cup second round replay away to Crewe Alexandra tonight has been postponed due to the big freeze.

A spokesman for Rovers said: "Due to adverse weather conditions, both Crewe Alexandra and Blackburn Rovers have agreed that tonight’s Emirates FA Cup second round replay should be rescheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday December 13th, kick-off 7.45pm.

"The match had been set to take place at The Alexandra Stadium tonight, but the overnight conditions have made areas of the pitch unplayable.

"Taking into consideration the improving weather forecast for the next 48 hours, the two clubs and The FA wanted to give the game the best possible chance of going ahead this week to make preparations as smooth as possible for players, officials and supporters."

Any supporters who have purchased tickets for the tie, but can no longer attend the rearranged date, can claim a full refund from the Rovers' ticket office on presentation of their complete match ticket by 5pm on Friday, December 15th.

The teams drew the original fixture 3-3.

Rovers had led their lower league opposition 3-0 but the visitors pulled back three goals after the home side had two players sent off.

The winners of the replay face Hull City.
