A GROUP of employees completed a three day cycle challenge.

BT employees Angela Hutchinson and Shabs Adam set themselves a challenge of cycling from Blackburn to Blackpool Tower as part of the Three Tower Challenge.

They then cycled from Blackpool Tower to Turton Tower, Houghton Tower and Darwen Tower in three days.

BT bosses offered the two employees the chance to take time off in return for raising money for East Lancashire Hospice.

Hospice fundraising manager, Sharon Crymble said: “ BT has been involved with the hospice in various ways including letting employees volunteer at the hospice site.

“Shabs himself has helped on many occasions by getting involved in fundraising events and bucket collections.

“On behalf of our patients and all at East Lancashire Hospice I would like to say a huge thank you to BT for allowing their employees this precious time to help others.

"I would also like to extend my thanks to Shabs and Angela who took on this huge challenge.”

The duo raised £700 for the East Lancashire based charity.

The telecoms giant has previously brought 100 jobs to its office in Blackburn town centre.
