FESTIVAL organisers have submitted plans to hold a music event in the Ribble Valley for the fourth year running.

Last August’s Beats Cancer music event, which involved DJs playing dance music to 3,000 people, was held at the Castle Grounds in Clitheroe.

The organisers raised £20,000 from tickets sold at the event which were then donated to cancer charities.

Organisers have now put in a request to Ribble Valley Council’s community services committee to hold the event again on Saturday August 18, 2018.

The council have been monitoring the impact of the festival on residents. In 2017 there were 12 noise complaints from around the town.

A decision will be made at tomorrow’s council meeting at the town hall from 6.30pm.
