NEW figures reveal one in 10 schools across the North West are classed as unsatisfactory by education watchdog Ofsted.
In Blackburn with Darwen 17 per cent of schools were judged 'requires improvement' or 'inadequate' while 64 per cent were 'good' and 18 per cent 'outstanding'.
In Lancashire seven per cent were judged 'requires improvement' or 'inadequate' with 24 found to be 'outstanding' and 68 'good' at the end of August, according to research by theknowledgeacademy.com.
The worse area for schooling in the North West was Blackpool which has 21 schools requiring improvement.
In a 2017 Ofsted survey 15 per cent of parents said they were not receiving valuable information from the school and 14 per cent said the school did not respond well when they raised a concern.
