EVENING classes are to be held at Costa Coffee outlets across East Lancashire.

Lancashire Adult Learning has teamed up with Pop-Up College and Costa to deliver the sessions aimed at adults of all ages.

Classes are launching at outlets in Tesco Extra in Burnley and New Hall Hey in Rawtenstall from Monday between 6pm and 7.30pm.

The classes offered vary at locations across the county but include Get to Know Your Tablet, First Aid for Children and Babies, Live Well – Feel Better, Balance Your Life and Relax and De-stress.

Also offered are French, German, Italian and Spanish beginners language sessions, British sign language, drawing and painting and creative writing.

Karen Wignall, head of curriculum at LAL, said: “We’re always exploring new ideas and initiatives to deliver our public programme at the heart of communities across Lancashire.

“The opportunity to learn within a relaxed café setting is perfect for those who may not feel comfortable attending a class in a formal learning environment or those where a formal learning environment is not convenient."

Those interested in joining can pre-book in advance to secure their place or turn up on the night. Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis. Visit www.lal.ac.uk or call 0333 003 1717.
