COMEDIAN Mike Harding was called into action to open a new circular walk which would form part of the Pendle Way.
In this photograph taken from the Lancashire Telegraph archives, the singer and well known rambler cuts the ribbon to open the walk in 1990.
A large crowd gathered to mark the occasion.
In the background you can see the engine shed at Bancroft Mill.
