ROVERS host Gillingham on Saturday and here's all the stats you need to know ahead of the big game.

Rovers have lost once to the Gills in their history but that defeat did come in the last Ewood Park clash between the sides when Andy Hessenthaler and a John Curtis own goal gave Gillingham a 2-1 win in a game when both sides finished with 10 men. Mark Hughes had earlier opened the scoring for Rovers.

The two sides have met on just nine occasions with Rovers winning five and three ending in draws.

Tony Mowbray's side will be looking to make it back to back home wins on Saturday having swept aside Rotherham in midweek and three points could see Rovers climb into the League One play-off places.

Gillingham begin the weekend in the relegation zone having won just one of their opening 10 games.

They are currently without a manager after Ady Pennock left his job earlier this week and their away record does not make good viewing.

The Gills have lost three of their five fixtures on the road this term and haven't won away from home in the league since March 4 when they beat Bury.

The two sides last met in the League Cup in August 2009 when goals from David Dunn, Junior Hoilett and Morten Gamst Pedersen - direct from a corner - helped Rovers to a 3-1 away win. Simeon Jackson, who would go on to join Rovers, scored from the spot for the home side.

The sides met for the first time in October 1974 when Rovers romped to a 4-1 success on their way to the third division title thanks to a Don Martin hat-trick and a Pat Hilton strike.
