BURNLEY are close to securing Nahki Wells in a transfer deadline day move from Huddersfield Town.
The striker was due to meet with the Clarets at midday to complete a medical and finalise the deal, with plenty of time to spare before tonight’s 11 o’clock cut-off.
Wells has not featured for Huddersfield in the Premier League this season due to a minor operation to repair an old ankle injury.
The Bermuda international is expected to cost Burnley around £5million.
