ONE of the UK's most successful outdoor clothing retailer has brought a jobs boost to East Lancashire.

Trespass, which specialises in skiwear, waterproof jackets, fleeces, festival accessories, walking boots and camping gear, has opened in The Mall, Blackburn, creating five posts.

It is the retailer's first outlet in the east of Lancashire, with its nearest counterparts in Preston and Bury.

The store, across from The Mall’s Ask Me Point in Victoria Court, has a footprint of 2,200 square feet.

Shoppers who sign up for The Mall’s free RewardME card scheme will receive 10 per cent off everything in store.

Loraine Jones, general manager at The Mall, welcomed the opening, which took place on Sunday.

She said: “We are thrilled to welcome such a popular retailer to The Mall during what is proving to be a fantastic summer."

She added: “We are also delighted to welcome them to our RewardME card scheme, which is a great way for shoppers to save money in their favourite shops.”

Robert Coyle, area manager for Trespass, said the company was pleased to have moved into East Lancashire.

He said: “The Mall in Blackburn is a brilliant setting for our latest store.

“We have more than 200 outlets across the UK and work tirelessly to find the best locations. "
